All Fly NI flying experience vouchers come enclosed in a full colour
gift card. Vouchers are valid for trial flights on weightshift controlled aircraft, with the voucher itself being your
evidence of payment. Each voucher is individually numbered,
this number should be quoted to Fly NI staff when booking an
experience flight. The voucher must be presented to Fly NI
staff at the airfield before your flight.Vouchers should be treated as cash as
anyone can use them. We can take no responsibility for any
loss you may incur as a result of losing them, replacement vouchers will not be issued.
The expiry date will be shown on the rear of the voucher, the voucher will expire nine
months from the purchase date.
There is no upper age limit, we do however
insist that participants are at least 14 years old and big enough to be secure in the harnesses.
Booking your Flight
We would ask that you book your flight as far in advance as possible, we will try and give you a time slot for your flight at this point. However, if we cannot accommodate your chosen date we will arrange an alternative at that time, or will contact you when another date becomes available.
The Night before..
The night before the flight you should contact us to confirm your booking and that weather conditions are suitable. If you are travelling a long distance (from Dublin for example), we will always speak with you again on the morning of the flight. This is to ensure the weather is suitable before you undertake a lengthy journey.
Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the designated time. Your flight may be delayed, for example, because of poor weather earlier in the day.We will always keep you informed of such changes.
Experience flights vouchers come as either a 40 or 60 minute Gift Vouchers. Duration is calculated from engine running time, there is always a period of preflight checks to be carried out prior to take-off. So the actual flight time may be slightly less than the voucher. Taking this into account for a 40 minute voucher, the flight will always be at least 30-40 minutes. And for a 60 minute voucher, between 50 and 60 minutes
Cancellation by us
If we cancel your activity, we will tell you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date or location. At times it may be that the weather becomes worse than forecast or a technical fault with equipment develops during the day, in which case we may not be able to contact you before your arrival. In these situations, we are not liable for any transport or other costs you incur.
Cancellation by you
Contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel your booking. We will do our best to fill your space (to avoid cancellation charges) and
re-arrange your experience flight before the expiry date.
We will only provide a refund if it is asked for within 10 days of purchase, no questions asked. There
will however be a ten pounds administration charge to cover our
costs. For a refund, the original voucher must be returned to us (we suggest using recorded delivery in case of loss in the post) and refunds will be made by a cheque made payable to the purchaser only. In some circumstances, we may simply refund to the purchaser's credit card. In all other circumstances, refunds are not available.
Fly NI has insurance to cover personal injury claims of up to £1,000,000. The policy is available for inspection if needed.
All participants must be a day member of the Flying Club and will be required to sign in for the day, prior to the flight. A disclaimer must be read and understood, prior to the flight.
Safety is always our prime consideration, we will never expose you the passenger to undue risk. Our pilots have all been approved to carry out flight instruction by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority. Our pilots work extremely hard to gain, and maintain this approval. Please ensure you carry out any safety procedures detailed by your instructor, before during and after the flight. Passengers, friends and relatives must abide by the rules of the airstrip. Children and pets must be controlled, people must adhere to instructions given to them by airfield staff.
Postage and packaging amounts are displayed in the shopping basket. We do try and keep these prices as accurate as possible, according to the Royal Mail and Parcelforce websites. If you have any queries on the postage, please give us a ring.
We stock a wide range of pilot supplies. All prices shown are inclusive of VAT and credit card surcharges, with the shipping costs being shown clearly when checking out. If you have received a better price elsewhere we will try and match it under certain conditions.
Expired vouchers may be extended under certain circumstances, we are however under no obligation to do so. If we do decide to extend the voucher there will be a £25 administration charge, and a new voucher will be issued on receipt of the old one.
Week-long 10 or 15 hour intensive courses can be arranged by appointment. A non-refundable 50% booking fee must be paid when booking. The remainder should be paid on the first morning of the course, in full.
